Well, now...
Obama has never shown an ounce of support for OWS. Not one iota. As I predicted back when the OWS thread was going, the Dems and Obama will use "Occupy" language to try to snag the populist image for Elect Another Dancing Clown, 2012, and all that, but will not come out in support of the movement. Honestly speaking, it is all politics- it is not Politically Expedient to stand up for an actual cause that goes against corporate whoring. I am surprised you don't remember the conversation. (not really.) We compared the hypocrisy of the Obama administration making a point to speak out against the police brutalization and forced (attempted) silencing of protesters in Egypt, while his administration said zip about it when it was happening, here.
BTW- this summer- OWS will be back, rebirthed. But that is another thread. Everybody cross your fingers for me that I get closer to regular 'net access for reporting!
Peace, Home-Fries! :-)"The Alice-in-Wonderland nature of this pronouncement is not lost on me..."

Right. So that's why I see a constant stream of videos of police brutality, that cop hosing peaceful protestors with pepper-spray,
and frankly alarming methods of removing peaceful demonstrators by force.
Because this is obviously a sign of Support for a movement.

I've heard this said about the republican presidential candidates;
'They're brave enough to send our children to fight in Iran,
but too cowardly to stand up to Rush Limbaugh."
What a bunch of hollow men and women we choose to represent us.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012...ivisive-video/
Obama's reelection campaign on Sunday stood by its controversial web video which questioned
whether Dog-on-Roof would have approved the Usama bin Laden raid -- as Ed Gillespie accused
the president of twisting a unifying moment into a "divisive, partisan, political attack."
"Maybe the comments he made a few years ago he admits are wrong, or he's flip-flopped on yet another issue,"
said Robert Gibbs, the worst Democratic spokeman since Dee Dee Myers.
The Obama campaign is referring to a quote from Romney who once said, "it's not worth
moving heaven and earth, spending billions of dollars, just trying to catch one person."
Maybe Romney has a point.
If catching or killing bin Laden didn't put more money in the hands of the super-rich,
then it certainly wasn't worth going after him, right Willard?
The facts are Bush and Willard both said they didn't care about getting bin Laden but Obama
made it a priority and - did you know - Obama overruled Biden and then-Sec Gates, who both
thoughts a Seals-on-the-ground mission was too risky. Gates resigned shortly thereafter.
So, it's gotta suck for the GOP to know Obama did it better then their pitiful "war heroes."
Ed Gillespie (R-Liar and Whore) is going to have to learn to live with that.
It's only "divisive, partisan and political" when our side wins.

Senator Marco Rubio, Dog-on-Roof's possible towel boy, voted against the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA),
which has passed time and time again in a bipartisan fashion for decades. this year the VAWA became a partisan nightmare
for women-hating Republicans, who opposed extending protections to LGBT people, immigrants, and Native Americans.
Because violence against some women is deplorable, but apparently, not all women are equal in the eyes of the GOP.
The Rabid Dogs in the House are slated to veto the bill next week.
If passed, the two will have to be hammered out in committee.
Obama is expected to sign the bill in the GOP doesn't kill it.
Who else thinks violence against women is OK?

Scott Brown's Daughter Insured Under 'Obamacare' Which He Wants to Repeal
Hahahaha!!! He wants to kill Obamacare. Yet he has his daughter on it! Doesn't get much better does it?Ed Schultz called out Scott Brown's hypocrisy for being more than happy to take advantage or the provision on the Affordable Care Act which allows his daughter to remain insured, but he's not so worried about whether other Americans might have the same benefit.
Scott Brown Benefits From Obamacare, Despite Supporting Its Repeal:
Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) ran as the 41st vote against President Obama’s health care reform bill in a special election to replace the late Sen. Ted Kennedy and voted three times to repeal the law and take way health care coverage from the 30 million Americans who will benefit from the law by 2014 and the millions who are already taking advantage of its provisions.
But yesterday, this Tea Party champion and great opponent of Obamacare admitted something astonishing: his 23 year old daughter is one of the 2.5 million young Americans who are benefiting from a regulation that allows young people to stay on their parents’ health care plan until age 26:
“Of course I do,’’ the Massachusetts Republican told the Globe. Brown is insuring his daughter Ayla, a professional singer who is 23 years old, under a widely popular provision of the law requiring that family plans cover children up to age 26.

"Now, obviously, in hindsight, it looks bad, right? I mean, why are you using a party credit card at all?
Well, some of these expenses were because a travel agent had the number, the credit card number,
and they billed it to that card instead of the other card. Sometimes, it was just a mistake, you know,
literally just reached for the wrong card.”
-- Marco Rubio, on why he billed the GOP for his personal expenses, Link
Sure, Marco, and when you "accidentally" let the GOP pay for your personal expenses,
it's just, you know, like, a mistake, right?

Isn't it odd that the five Republican female senators voted to
reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act, but they're OK
with being in a party where EVERY MAN voted to kill it?http://www.washingtonpost.com/politi...=nl_pmpoliticsObama has placed the killing of bin Laden at the center of his reelection effort (Horseshit - he ran one ad)
in a way that is drawing criticism from right-wing barking dogs for turning what he once described as
an American victory into a partisan political asset.
It's a political campaign - get the fuck over it.
Obama’s decision to kill bin Laden presents enormous political opportunity for a president, especially a
Democratic one with no military experience as compared to Der Monkey Fuhrer, war hero of all time?
But right-wing barking dogs say Obama is taking a risk in claiming credit for something that he described
as “a testament to the courage, selflessness and teamwork of America’s armed forces.”
You pretend those two things are mutually exclusive. Had those helicopters failed like they did for Jimmy Carter,
Obama would be a failed, one-term president so don't act like his decison was consequence-free.
The Obama campaign has made the president the star of the story.
No, YOU are making the false claim that Obama said it was all about him.
It's a political campaign and right-wing barking dogs want to take away his biggest military victory
and they're angry that they can't figure out a way to do that so they get a right-wing barking dog
like Scott Wilson to accuse the president of bragging, but you know what they say:
If it's TRUE, it's not bragging.
Some have suggested that Romney, would not have pursued bin Laden with the same determination.
Actually, ROMNEY said it "wasn't worth moving Heaven and Earth to get him."
Why are you changing the facts, Scott?
You bastards are frustrated because you know Obama's going to win a second term
so you're telling every lie you can think of to trash the man - we get that. It's called "politics."

Kudos, GG. Overall, she accutately portrays the GOP correctly in her political cartoons. Generally speaking, those are their policies and the direction they cast their votes in DC. Few of their policies if any, truly are in favor of the middle class working people in this country - which IS the largest group class that supports the USAs foundation. Im not a die hard fan of Obama either, but compared to Mitt, he shines.

"How an I going to fix the economy? I'll tell you how I'm going to fix the economy.
I'm going to look at what Obama has done and do the opposite. ha ha ha ha ha ha."
-- Romney, pinned down on his plans for the economy
It's too bad America doesn't have a free press.
It would be interesting if some reporter were to reply,
"Sir, do you realize that's not an answer about how you'd handle the economy?"
But no, they just let him get away with that bullshit.
Truth is, Romney's plan to "fix" the economy is to give more to the rich,
which was Der Monkey Fuhrer's plan and where did that get us?

It may have been a case of wanting to go to jail so he'd no longer be homeless. Like the guy who needed heart surgery but was kicked off his med plan by the GOP so intentionally got himself arrested so he could go to jail and use the medical stuff there.

The problem is the GOP doesn't want to be agreed with.
When Obama agreed with them, they changed their minds and moved to the Right
until he could no longer agree with them, THEN they said Obama was "rigid."
Let's hope our president is as smart as Ol' Bart and realizes that.
