I think this has be discussed already. When you get a neg rep for a retarded reason (ie. "You're a cunt"), all you have to do is hit the "report" button on the Rep and the Mods will take a look at it. If they determine that it's a valid reason the neg will stay, if they see that it's just somebody Neg-Rep'n to be a douche they can remove it, allowing you to hang on to your hard-earned green squares.


This is how the system worked before, this is how the system can work again.

I honestly didn't see it that way... And I had the feeling most others didn't, either. The comments I gave and that people gave me implied genuine reaction to the actual posts. But that's just my impression. I admit I may have been partial to a few people and repped them more, but I was partial to them in the first place because I liked what they had to say, and I liked those particular posts I was repping.

Actually the only person I ever neg repd was DBA. I have never neg repped CT or Rabid or even you for that matter. Get over yourself.

I do think it had the option to turn off the rep for your profile, and if you did that you couldn't rep anybody else. So if you volunteer for a beating you get a beating, so to speak.

nah, you can still get a beating. All that does is turn off the brightly colored green or red dots, and replaces them with a single, sedate blue dot, the color of an oceans storm cloud.

There is no report button on reps. if so I could easily get rid of half of my neg reps. Since they are all

"Lame!" "You're a Cunt!" "Indeed."(All from my neg rep list) If I could report them they'd all be gone.

Case in point, same post gets several POS REPS then Anarch neg reps me for being "A bitch" So yeah, not a popularity contest at all *rolleyes*

Ok so I see the rep thing is back. I searched all the threads about rep and couldnt find one that broke the system down so we (me) could understand it completely. Kind of a owners manual of rep.

Sort of. If you make a really good thread I can rate it 5/5, but if somebody posts a reply in that thread there's no way to rate their reply. That's where Rep comes in.
