Introducing... "Buster"

His full name has not been decided on yet. These images do not do him justice. He is actually a VERY friendly little guy and he's also VERY affectionate. He is a lap cat and purrs a lot. Just like his big sister Queen Diana Elizabeth.

He is a 6 month old Maine Coon. We just adopted him from a no kill shelter. He's only been home for a couple hours and is already making himself at home! It's almost like he's lived here forever already. :o)

The paperwork for him states he's going to be a big kitteh. Well if his paws are any indication he's going to be big alright. They are HUGE. You can't tell in the pictures but they are really big paws.

The Queen and the Prince have not been formerly introduced as of yet. They have met under a closed door. Buster was all quiet and inquisitive while the Queen HISSED her disapproval! Meh, it's to be expected.

Maine Coons are my absolute favorite kittehs!! They do get HUGE!! 18-25lbs is typical for a male.

Good for you adopting from a no kill shelter too.. He's freaking adorable!!

I was out walking to get the mail this am. On the way back in, saw someone fling a cat right out the window of a car. Fuckers didn't slow down or anything. I ran over and grabbed the cat. It was scared to death. Since the incident with Red, we found an emergency vet about 40 miles away. Called them and took her in. She was x-rayed and given a check up, free of charge too. Found out she's spayed already. no brokens.

So we brought her home and put a few ads on local websites trying to find her a home. BUT, considering she looks almost exactly like Red? And she bites the dipshit? I think she's already found her home. We're calling her Mademoiselle Red Sonja. Sonja for short.

It's official. His proper name is Prince Alexander Maximus!

Buster for his nick name... Alex for short. LOL

I don't know that Buster would appreciate such a lowly title, he Is a cat after all.

maybe if you worked the title 'Supreme Astronaut' into his moniker somehow ... or some reference to Emperor, Imperator or God.

but as a nickname, Buster is almost perfect. the only other nickname that came to mind looking at his pics was Leo, obvious reference there.

his fur looks luxurious and soft and his face has that expression of calm, arrogant mellow that best defines housecats. I am sure he will win over The Queen soon enough. hell, he stole my heart over the Internet ...

His coat is very luxurious and very soft. He's a cuddle whore and an attention whore. LOL

Actually it's a she and she is not all too happy with the new member of the family... yet. They haven't really been together much and have only gotten glimpses of each other. Thanksgiving week when I'm off from work is when they "learn" to live together in peace and harmony. LOL
